A continued emphasis on comfort and function with fun vintage and retro styles. Let’s look into the year ahead.
1. Buttons and Pockets
Buttoned-up with deep pockets, the pinafore dress made its comeback about a year ago. We’ll continue to see a resurgence of this style, with an increased number of variations and choices of fabric, throughout 2023.
2. Modern Sophistication
Why settle for ordinary? Less is more when you’re planning a stylish wardrobe. Create a minimal wardrobe that is easy to wear and oh-so-on trend.
3. Patterns
From paisley to geometric and everything in between, patterns are big in 2019. Add a touch of style to your wardrobe by adding a few printed shirts and dresses.
4. Maxi Skirts
Between the length of maxi skirts and dresses, you’ll be able to wear them year-round. Layer a linen maxi dress over your turtleneck or basic t-shirt this winter.
5. Sleeves
While it’s still too hot for long sleeves, you’ll see an increase in three-quarter length sleeves quite a bit. You can mix and match these pullover shirts with your favourite shorts or skirts.
6. Fabrics
Cotton and linen are still big. Their lightweight material is perfect for those days when you want to feel relaxed. Denim is also making its comeback this year. The raw cut style jeans look amazing with a t-shirt, jacket and sneakers.
7. Neon Trend
Colour helps liven up any outfit and can be found in accessories, clothing and shoes. Add a pop of colour to your outfit with hot pink shoes or a green scarf.
8. Layering
Layer it up! Mix and match for an interesting and contrasting look. Pair a skirt with a button-down, short-sleeved shirt.
9. Hair Color
Keeping your hair colour on trend with your wardrobe style, whether it be ombre or a deep red, will continue to be a style trend.
10. Accessories
You can’t go wrong with the basics. Take a look at your accessories and update them with a new scarf, handbag and belt. Focus on neutral colours and pair them with what you’d consider to be your best.
